Dear
Extended Day Parents,
We
have had several close calls in the bus loop area because of the large number
of cars parked in the loop. Buses are also having difficulty navigating in the
loop in the morning and the afternoon, because of the cars being double parked
by the curb. Sometimes they have to wait for drivers to return to their parked
car. Bartram is a bus hub, which means buses arrive prior to the start of our
school day and after our day ends. These students are also put in danger
because of the high volume of traffic. Although it is convenient to use this
for extended day drop off and pick up, it is becoming too congested and a
concerning safety issue. Effective immediately, there will be no more car
rider drop offs or pickups in the bus loop. Drop off and pick up for
extended day can be done in the car rider area only, located in the front of
the building.
